Branch Manager
Security Savings Bank is looking for a Full-time Branch Manager to join our growing team in our George, IA location. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction while enjoying opportunities for growth within our company. Attention to detail with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions is important.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise, coach, and support frontline staff
- Schedule daily staff responsibilities in accordance with bank policies and operational needs
- Provide ongoing training, development, motivation, and performance coaching
- Monitor staff workloads and delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient operations
- Communicate procedure updates, product changes, meetings, and training opportunities to staff
- Work with HR and the Market President during recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes
- Assist with annual employee performance reviews
Operations & Compliance
- Monitor employee timecards and PTO requests through Paychex and coordinate payroll approvals with HR
- Assist with ATM operations, ATM balancing, night drop processing, vault procedures, and mail deposits
- Ensure dual-control procedures and all branch security protocols are consistently followed
- Coordinate alarm testing and security reviews with the Branch Security Officer
- Complete levies and garnishments according to established procedures, when assigned
- Review overdrawn accounts with the Market President and notify proof department with account updates to
- Monitor vendor access to the branch, ensuring proper identification and sign-in procedures are followed
- Assign and oversee completion of operational reports and branch tasks
Branch & Community Support
- Assist with maintaining branch supplies, operational materials, and customer forms
- Ensure outdated materials are removed and destroyed according to retention guidelines
- Collaborate with the Market President to support branch goals, financial objectives, and business plans
- Work with the branch marketing representative to promote the bank through community involvement and charitable activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Previous experience in conducting banking transactions and internal processing
- Experience in cash handling
- Perform duties in compliance with policies, procedures and processes
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and organize priorities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or financial services (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service (preferred)
